Tour of Golden, Colorado

Introducing Golden, CO

Today we’re checking out one of my favorites in all of Colorado, Golden! If you love the outdoors with a prime location near Denver, Golden will be a good match for you! Biking, hiking, and watersports are all within reach. Golden also has a lot of history, great restaurants, brewers, and art, and that’s just a few of the pros!

Golden Vibes

About 20-30 minutes west of Denver, Golden is home to about 21k residents and has the oldest public university in Colorado, the Colorado School of Mines. It has a quaint, walkable historic downtown with tons of shops, bars, and restaurants along with great walking trails along Clear Creek. Bonus - when the weather is nice, you can tube down the creek or kayak/canoe at Clear Creek Whitewater Park.

Nestled between Lookout and the two Table mountains, there are endless outdoor activities along with all of the amenities of your typical suburb. It’s also home to some great schools including Colorado’s oldest High School - Golden High School.

Home Price Statistics

The median list price for Golden is about $736k. With that said, there is a huge variety of homes here. For single family homes, you can get in as low as $230k, and that goes all the way to about $7 million. For condos/townhomes, the range starts as low as $235k and can go to upwards of $1.4 million.
