Let's get it!

Baker Vibes

Home to about 6,500 residents, Baker is a hip and happening neighborhood with a lot to offer. Depending on where in Baker you’re located, it’s only about 10 minutes to downtown Denver and about 30-35 minutes from Denver International Airport.

All up and down Broadway there are tons of cool restaurants, shops, bars, and clubs. In addition to that, somewhat unique is that there are a number of suburban style amenities just south of Alameda and west of Broadway. As you work your way north along Broadway, it turns into the hipper spots.

With great access to public transportation and the 4th highest walk score in Denver, it’s great for those wanting to limit their use of a car. It’s also rated the 13th best place in Colorado for young professionals*

Schools in the Baker neighborhood are okay. But there is access to South High School, which is rated an A-.*

Home Price Statistics

Home prices in Baker are actually pretty good when compared to a lot of the other Denver neighborhoods. With a median sale price of around $630k, it’s right in line with the Denver metro median. A lot of older, beautiful historic homes here. Some are in great shape, some are in rough shape. In terms of single family homes, the most expensive on the market at this time is $1.25m, but the bulk of homes here will be around $600k to $900k, with a few outliers on above or below that.

One last note, it is a fairly renter-heavy neighborhood, with around 59% renting and 41% owning.
