Lafayette Vibes
Home to around 34,000 residents, Lafayette is growing fast! Since the 2010 Census, the city has grown about 40%. Lafayette is bordered to the north by Erie, to the east by Broomfield, to the south by Louisville, and to the west by Boulder County.
Ranked the 15th Best Suburb to Live in Colorado according to niche.com, Lafayette has a lot going for it! With great schools, plenty of suburban amenities, beautiful outdoor spaces, and a cute, historic downtown area, Lafayette is what a lot of folks are looking for.
The city is served by the Boulder Valley School District, which is rated an A* and is the 4th Best School District in Colorado. In terms of the specific schools serving the city, Centaurus High School is rated an A*. The two middle schools, Nevin Platt and Angevine, are both rated an A-*. There are 5 elementary schools and they range from A- to C+*.
Home Price Statistics
At the time of writing this, the median home sale prices were surprisingly affordable, coming in around $600k. However, the updated number has changed dramatically since filming and writing. The median home sale price now comes in around $900k for homes currently on the market. Speaking of which, for single-family homes currently on the market, the prices range from $440k on the low end and can reach upwards of nearly $3m on the high end.
In terms of condos or townhomes currently on the market, they range from $295k on the low end and upwards of $800k on the high end. For the city of Lafayette, approximately 72% of residents own their homes.
